London Grime MC Novelist sits down with Samuel Eni

“Sometimes I see things in musicians that no A&R can see”

London Grime MC Novelist sits down with presenter Samuel Eni for a special instalment of interview series, Eni Views.

During the revealing sit-down Novelist highlights key points on the grime scene and most importantly, how he feels he can push the culture forward. The discussion covers Hattie Collins and Olivia Rose recently published “This Is Grime” book, his inclusion in conversation with other Grime acts (Stormzy, JME, D Double E), for the launch, his omission from this year’s MOBO nominees, clashing Wiley’s younger brother – and also launching his own label, this year.

“I feel like a lot of people are given opportunities based on things that are not musical, I wanted to build something myself that was yo, straight, if this is a banger were putting this out I don’t care if its my boy or not, if my boy’s tune is wack I’m not putting it out. So I just feel like its an avenue that we can go down and its good that we can control that ourselves its something I’ve always wanted to do from a young age”.
