DTB News: KRS-One Speaks On Hip-Hop

…hip-hop’s ubiquity has less to do with the white-washing of a culture and more to do with the fact that we’ve all been a part of it since the beginning of recorded time. KRS-One

KRS-One (also known as Teacha) has long been the champion of hip-hop’s ancient roots, but in a recent interview with Jonathan Gasana of VladTV the legendary Bronx Hip Hop legend took his theories a bit further in educating the masses.

First things first, according to the scrolls, hip-hop’s ubiquity has less to do with the white-washing of a culture and more to do with the fact that we’ve all been a part of it since the beginning of recorded time. Teacha posits that the five pillars are merely the forms of communication human’s have long exercised.

Teacha also compared the elements of Hip-Hop to those of the periodic table and goes on to break down the inherent differences between hip-hop and rap, an MC and a rapper.
