Concert News: The Roots Presents 1994: The Prequel – London Jazz Cafe

Packed into a busy touring schedule which includes a regular slot on the Late Show with Jimmy Fallon, it’s our privilege to welcome The Roots for three intimate shows in July.
First playing the Jazz Cafe back in 1994, there isn’t any band that better embodies the spirit of the venue, with elements of hip-hop, soul, funk and more sown into their peerless body of work.

The Roots is an American hip hop group, formed in 1987 by Tariq “Black Thought” Trotter and Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. The Roots are known for a jazzy and eclectic approach to hip-hop featuring live musical instruments.

The Roots – You Got Me ft. Erykah Badu

The Roots – The Seed (2.0) ft. Cody ChesnuTT

The Roots have announced two dates at the Jazz Cafe;

Sunday 2nd July 2017
Monday 3rd July 2017
